SEDALIA, MO. (June 16, 2026) - The Missouri Cattlemen's Association (MCA) welcomed cattle producers, industry partners and elected officials from across the state to the annual Cattlemen's Steak Fry on Saturday, June 13, at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, MO. The event raised more than $50,000 to support MCA's Policy and advocacy efforts on behalf of Missouri cattle producers.
The Steak Fry serves as MCA's premier political fundraising event, bringing together members of Missouri's beef industry and policymakers to discuss issues affecting cattle producers and rural communities. Proceeds from the event support the association's ongoing work to ensure the voice of Missouri cattle producers is represented in legislative and regulatory discussions.
This year's event featured remarks from state leaders, recognition of MCA leadership and opportunities for producers to engage directly with elected officials and industry stakeholders.
"The Steak Fry continues to be an important opportunity for cattle producers to connect with policymakers and share the challenges and opportunities facing Missouri agriculture," said Jimmie Long, Policy and Legislative Affairs Committee Chair for MCA. "The support shown through this event strengthens our advocacy efforts and helps ensure Missouri cattle producers have a strong voice in the decisions that impact their operations and livelihoods."
For more than two decades, the MCA Steak Fry has served as a cornerstone event for Missouri's beef industry, strengthening the association's grassroots advocacy efforts and supporting policies that promote the success of cattle producers across the state.
