OSAGE BEACH, MISSOURI (January 21st, 2026) - The Missouri Cattlemen's Association (MCA) kicked off the Missouri Cattle Industry Convention & Trade Show by recognizing county affiliates and individual members whose dedication, advocacy and outreach continue to strengthen Missouri's beef cattle industry. Awards were presented during the convention, held January 21-23, celebrating the local leadership that drives MCA's success.
The Callaway/Montgomery Cattlemen's Association received the Outstanding Affiliate Activity or Event Award for their continued commitment to engaging members and supporting the cattle industry at the local level. The Newton/McDonald County Cattlemen's Association was recognized for Outstanding Affiliate Policy Involvement and named Overall Affiliate Runner-Up. The Southwest Cattlemen's Association earned the honor of Overall Outstanding County Affiliate.
MCA also recognized individual members as "Top Hands" for their exceptional efforts in recruiting new members and strengthening the association. Ron Rogers, Newton/McDonald County Cattlemen's Association, earned recognition for recruiting more than 50 new members. MCA President Jeff Reed said grassroots involvement is the lifeblood of the association.
"Our county affiliates and individual members collectively help this association accomplish its mission of advancing Missouri's beef cattle industry," said Reed. "If you want to better understand what grassroots all is about, attend a county cattlemen's meeting."
