| January 11, 2023

OSAGE BEACH, MISSOURI (Jan. 9, 2023) - The Missouri CattleWomen's Association (MCW) gave its top honor, CattleWoman of the Year, to Scynthia Schnake from Stotts City, Missouri, during the 55th Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show held in Osage Beach, Missouri, January 6-8, 2023.

Each year, MCW honors a lady who has been a strong advocate for agriculture with a deep passion for the beef industry.

Deb Thummel, 2021 CattleWoman of the Year, said Schnake is a true advocate of all things faith, family and cattle.

"She plays an important role in advocating for the beef industry in her community, at the state capitol and on her social media platforms,” Thummel said. “She is the past president of her local Cattlemen’s Association and sat on the Missouri Beef Industry Council board for the past three years where she served as the secretary for one of those years. She was a member of the inaugural Missouri Cattlemen's Leadership College and served as a great mentor to the very young MCA Manager of Membership at that time."

She is from Southwest Missouri where she and her husband started their own cow/calf, backgrounding and feeder calf operation. She and her husband raised their two children on their ranch.

The Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show is hosted by the Missouri Cattlemen's Association, MCW, Missouri's Cattlemen Foundation, Missouri Junior Cattlemen's Association and the Missouri Beef Industry Council. It concluded Sunday, January 8, 2023.
