MCA Recognizes Top Membership Recruiters

OSAGE BEACH, MISSOURI (Jan. 19, 2022) - The Missouri Cattlemen's Association recognized individuals - known as Top Hands - who recruited nearly 605 new members in 2021. Top Hands received recognition today during the 54th Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show in Osage Beach, Missouri.    

The top membership recruiter in 2021, recruiting 64 new members, was Ronald Rogers from Anderson, Missouri. For his efforts, Rogers receives one thousand dollars. Jeff Reed, Williamsville, Missouri, was the second-overall recruiter, bringing in 31 new members, and Janet and Blake Crow, West Plains, Missouri, was the third-overall, bringing in 20 new members.   

Recruiting members received gift certificates to the MCA General Store with amounts varying based on the number of new members they recruited. Nine top hands were recognized for recruiting five nine new members, and six recruiters signed up 10 or more members.    

"MCA is glad to present these top hands with an incentive," MCA Manager of Membership Sydney Thummel said. "Recruiting more than 300 new members in one year is a great accomplishment for our association, especially given the challenges of the past year."   

The county affiliate bringing in the most new members was the Newton-McDonald County Cattlemen's Association, recruiting 67 members. The affiliate received a $500 certificate for meeting sponsorship.    

The 54th Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show concluded January 9, 2022.
