ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI (May 20, 2021) - MCA Past President Marvin Dieckman stood with Governor Mike Parson, Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chris Chinn and leaders from the Missouri Beef Industry Council to proclaim May as Beef Month in Missouri. The Governor, a fellow cattle producer, pointed out the significance of the industry.

“Agriculture is the heart and soul of this state,” he said.

Dieckman expressed the commitment of Missouri beef producers to consumers across the state.

"Tough times brought consumers closer together. We both struggled and are excited for better days ahead," he said.

Beef Month is celebrated in Missouri each May to recognize the largest sector of the state's number one industry, agriculture. Missouri boasts well over 50,000 farms and ranches contributing jobs, products and several billion dollars to the state economy.
