FFA Beef Raffle

Missouri FFA and Missouri Cattlemen’s Association are raffling off the beef from the 2017 Missouri State Fair Grand Champion Market Steer. The Grand Champion Market Steer, exhibited by Katelyn Gillum of Unionville, was purchased by Dairy Queen/Guesa USA LLC and Steak ‘n Shake/Guesa USA LLC/Jorge Guevara of Sedalia. The steer was then donated to the Missouri FFA Leadership Fund. Together, FFA and MCA, are working to make the most of this donation and to help encourage youth involvement in the beef industry.

Raffle tickets will be sold now through January 6. Tickets will be 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. You can purchase tickets from your participating local FFA chapter or at mocattle.com. There will be two winners of the raffle selected on Saturday, January 6 at the Missouri Cattle Industry Conventions Annual Banquet. Each winner of the raffle will receive a quarter of beef from the Grand Champion Steer. The other two quarters of beef will be given to the top two chapters selling the most tickets. Money collected from the raffle will go towards a cash prize for the top exhibiting Missouri FFA Chapter at the 2018 MCA All Breeds Junior Show June 8-10.
